A fun experience learning the basics of letterpress printing! Participants will be guided through the safe handling of type and operation of a Vandercook proofing press and have prints to take home. If you have a word, phrase, haiku or affirmation to print, this is a great opportunity to honor it with this special process.
Once the chosen type is selected, participants will lock in and print their text on broadsheets.
Tools & Materials: Any printmaking journey involves ink and the ink used will stain clothes so aprons or work clothes are recommended. Bring some ideas about what you’d like to create or feel it out. Ink and paper will be provided.
All Classes are held at Editions, located at 6520 5th Ave S #104 Seattle, WA 98108. Go through the red door (or big white door if it’s open) and turn left- studio is at the end of the hall under the stairs

Cancellation Policy
Withdrawals 15 or more days before the beginning of a workshop will receive a full refund of tuition and supply fee, minus a $25 processing charge.
Withdrawals 4-14 days prior to the workshop will receive a 50% refund of tuition and supply fee, minus a $25 processing charge.
No refunds are possible for withdrawals 3 or fewer days in advance of the first day of class, or for no-shows.
Exceptions to this policy are only made for documented medical emergencies.
