Chromatic Alchemy
Saturday, June 21st, 2025
10:00 AM-6:00 PM
Uncover the hidden spectrum of colors living in our local landscape! In this immersive workshop, you'll learn to transform common Pacific Northwest plants into vibrant, pH-reactive inks. Through hands-on experimentation with natural acids and bases, watch as bright salmonberries shift from coral to deep red, and witness fresh nettle leaves transform from emerald to sage green. Perfect for artists, naturalists, and curious minds alike, you'll leave with a set of handmade inks, detailed recipes, and the knowledge to continue exploring this fascinating intersection of art and science.
We will talk about sustainable harvesting and safe processing. No previous experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and prepare to be amazed by nature's color laboratory!
Art is always better with a friend! Sign up together and you each save $15.
